Popcorn & Puffs

See, here’s the thing: it wasn’t actually a popcorn maker when the machine was developed in 1885. Popcorn was known – sure, it was a common snack that required putting corn on an open fire, which sometimes resulted in a wonderful snack but more often ended with charred corn kernels as a result. It took a while for people to realize that a cooking mechanism originally designed for roasting peanuts could become what we know today as the popcorn machine. This old fashioned popcorn maker came to produce such wonderful results that, years and years later it is still a main stay in many cultures around the world.
