The Great Library stood in Alexandria and Ptolemy, Ruler of Egypt, had collected 995 books of wisdom from all over the Greek Empire. He wanted to have 1000 books so that the city of Alexandria could be the true seat of wisdom of the world. He searched and searched but could not find anymore books of wisdom for the Great Library.

One day one of his advisors came and told him that the five Books of Moses which the Jewish people called the Torah contained knowledge that surpassed all wisdom. Ptolemy sent messengers to Jerusalem asking for scholars to come to him in Egypt for an important matter.
